SPRING 2024 SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS - 
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY.!


IF YOUR SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST IS TO ACCOMMODATE WAKE TECH CCP COURSES, DO NOT SUBMIT THIS FORM. CONTACT MRS. MOORE DIRECTLY AT PMOORE1@WCPSS.NET

Schedule change requests will ONLY be reviewed for one of the following reasons:
• Failed a course needed for graduation
• Incomplete schedule – to fill a “hole” in the schedule
• Missing a core course required for graduation
• Missing a required prerequisite to take a course
• To increase rigor or address inappropriate level placement
• Previously failed with a scheduled teacher
• Schedule is unbalanced
• To request Senior Early Release or Mid-Year Graduation


Schedule changes will NOT be approved for any of the following reasons:
• Elective change (unless missing a prerequisite or to increase rigor)
• Teacher change (unless previously failed with a scheduled teacher)


Students should monitor PowerSchool AND WCPSS student email to see APPROVED schedule changes.

Students should monitor their WCPSS student email for DENIED requests.

If you believe your request fits the above criteria, please submit the SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST FORM by JANUARY 31st!

The AP Exam registration deadline for students currently enrolled in Fall Semester AP classes is November 8th.

Countdown to College  - Apply to participating colleges through CFNC for FREE during the week of October 16th - 20th

FVHS College Application Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 19th. Seniors are scheduled a time to come to the Media Center to get individual help with completing college applications. There will be multiple College Admissions reps on site, as well as information on Financial Aid and Scholarships. View the attached schedule to see when you should report to the Media Center.  SCHEDULE FOR SENIORS

IMPORTANT!  Before College Application Day, please review the College Admission Checklist and complete the RDS with a family member so you can submit your applications!  And remember, application fees are only waived at participating colleges when students apply through CFNC.

All junior and senior parents/guardians and students are invited to join us for an informational event to learn about planning for high school and life thereafter. We will be discussing the following topics:
• applying to college
• scholarships and financial aid
• sending transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• AP and CCP Classes
• internships
• ASVAB and the military
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to speak to college admission and military reps as well as take part in a college rep Q&A panel!
